AIR TRAFFIC CONTROLLER

About the role
We routinely recruit qualified and experienced, Air Traffic Controllers to join our team. You will be responsible for providing a Tower and Procedural Approach service in both class C and G airspace in a safe, orderly expeditious manner.
Requirements
You can apply if you:
• Hold an Air Traffic Controller Licence issued by the UK CAA, and
• Hold UK CAA Aerodrome Control Rating and Endorsement, and
• Are able to meet the CAA UK Class 3 Medical Standard, and
•Have an ICAO English Language Proficiency Certificate at Level 5 or higher.
Other Requirements
Successful applicants will be required to successfully complete AccessNI checks and to provide a 5-year work / training / education reference history.
It would be an advantage if you also:
•Have UK CAA Approach Procedural Rating and Endorsement
•Have UK Met Office Meteorological Observer Certificate

PERMANENT PASSENGER SERVICES OFFICER
Up to 37 HOURS PER WEEK

As part of the Customer Services Team, you will be trained in a variety of roles within the Department.
On the Customer Services Desk, you will greet everyone in a friendly manner and answer their queries, whilst keeping an eye on customers accessing the car park.
You will check passengers and their baggage in, allocate their seat and check travel documents
You will escort passengers to and from the aircraft and assist those passengers with mobility needs
Applicants must possess 4 GCSEs to Grade C or above, or possess an equivalent qualification

Have two years customer services experience.

APPRENTICE AIRSIDE AGENT
Brief Outline of Duties:
- Responsible to the Airside & Fire Duty Manager for Operational Duties
- Crew and operate Apron Services vehicles and equipment.
- Provide marshalling instructions to aircraft on parking, start up and pushback.
- Position steps, passenger guidance systems and assist in the safe disembarkation/embarkation of passengers and airline crew(s).
- Render assistance to Persons with Restricted Mobility (PRM)
- Operate the ‘Triple A’ Security Procedures including Bingo Card reconciliation system as directed by Department for Transport (DfT) policy.
- Operate vehicle and hand transceivers.
- Read destination luggage tags to ensure that all luggage is assigned correctly by destination in both aircraft loading and luggage sort area.
- Conduct Foreign Objects Debris (FOD) patrols; operate FOD mat, runway sweeper.
- Assist in aircraft de-icing duties, in Snow clearance and runway de-icing duties.
- Loading, off-loading and sorting of baggage, freight, catering supplies, ballast.
- Carry out Air and Landside general maintenance duties.
- Carry out Aircraft refuelling duties including fuel delivery, fuel receipts, and all test and inspections.
Essential:
- Aged 18-24 years
- GCSE Grade C in Maths and English or recognised equivalent.
- Available to work for a minimum of 37 hours per week.
- Must undergo and pass a criminal conviction check.
- Hold a current full clean driving licence.
- Good computer literacy, including use of Microsoft Word.
- Demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Be able to work well in pressurised environments.
- Able to work well in a team.
- Reliable/punctual.
- Ability to follow instructions and use initiative.
- Good work ethic.
Desirable:

COMBINED ROLE
Brief Outline of Duties / Responsibilities Fire:
- Responsible to the Airside & Fire Duty Manager for Operational Duties
- Maintaining an efficient response to all emergencies
- Driving and operating all appliances and equipment
- Undertaking training and re-qualification to maintain competence as required by company standards and regulatory requirements
- Crewing the Watch room and implementing emergency procedures in the event of an emergency situation
Brief Outline of Duties / Responsibilities Airport Operations:
- Snow clearance and de-icing duties
- Wildlife Hazard Management
- Carry out airfield maintenance
- Carry out runway visual range readings
- Operation of vehicle transceivers
- Carry out airfield and lighting inspections
- Carry out marshalling duties
- Assist with aircraft turnaround
PERSONAL REQUIREMENTS
Essential:
- Aged 18-24 years (applicants must be aged 18+ as there are licenses’ to be achieved as part of the process which have that stipulation)
- GCSE Grade C in Maths and English or recognised equivalent.
- Available to work for a minimum of 37 hours per week.
- Must undergo and pass a criminal conviction check.
- Must be able to pass a medical to the standard ‘Medical Guidelines for the Fire & Rescue Service’.
- Must be able to swim.
- Hold a current accredited RQF/QCF (Level 2 Minimum) First Aid Qualification (certificate must have been issued within the last 18 months)
- Hold a current full clean driving licence.
- Good computer literacy, including use of Microsoft Word.
- Demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Be able to work well in pressurised environments.
- Able to work well in a team.
- Reliable/punctual.
- Ability to follow instructions and use initiative.
- Good work ethic.
Desirable:
- Hold an accredited Health & Safety qualification.
- All shortlisted candidates must complete a series of tests including a fitness test.
